I had a chance to take a class 
from a master food carver. 
           
In his class I learned the basic 
techniques on how to carve 
vegetables and fruits using various tools.
           
I began to transform carrots into 
flowers and squash into birds. I began 
doing my own research reading, practicing 
my carving everyday. 
           
I incorporate my own food within my cooking 
and at family gatherings.
